Blind Pass is the strait that separates Captiva Island from Sanibel Island in Lee County, Florida. Currently, Blind Pass is silted over, making it impassable; it has not been open since shortly after its last dredging in 1996. The Captiva Erosion Prevention District has recently submitted plans to the State of Florida to dredge and reopen the pass.
