Condo Rental FAQ's |
- Will you rent for less than one week?
- No. Unfortunately the condominium bylaws prohibit rentals of
less than seven days. We will rent to you for less than seven days off season and discount some, but the condo will be unavailable to others for the entire week. Please call or email me for pricing.
- Are there any other fees besides the rental price?
- Yes, there are the normal Florida taxes which currently total 11%
and a $35 booking fee which goes to the City. The booking
fee is $38.85 including tax. There is also now a Linen Fee
which is $55.50 (no tax). This is a fee we as owners paid, but
now the association has decided to charge renters. I have
lowered my rates to accommodate the increase. I am sorry there
are so many add-ons and many of us are trying to get the association
to drop all of these fees. In the meantime I am trying to have
the lowest rates for a first class unit.
- What is a booking fee?
- This is a charge that was developed by the
City of Sanibel.
- Is the unit located on the beach?
- No. At this end of Sanibel there are no condos
with an ocean view because of the barrier sand and the lagoon it
creates. It is a short walk of several
hundred feet on a private walk way through the woods to the beach. You cross the
tidal lagoon on a short bridge. Blind Pass is located as close to the beach as you
can get. You do not have to cross any roads.
- What is a normal week?
- A normal week starts on Saturday at 3 p.m. and ends the following Saturday at 10 a.m.
- Are rollaway beds available?
- Yes. They are available along with cribs, etc. from Island Rental.
- How are the deposit and check-in handled? ? I will give you an
800 number at Blind Pass after you book with me. They will take your deposit and from then
on handle your check-in, check-out and any other requests that you have. .
- What if my question isn't answered here?
- Do you have a screened in porch?
- No. We have a small front porch and for us it didn't make sense to screen it..
- How many units are there at Blind Pass?
- Is there a security deposit?
- $300 or 20% of the rental, whichever is more. For long
in-season rentals, the security deposit is 10% of the rental
amount.
